Secondary School Shortage Spotlight – Public Meeting 7th June, 8pm Shoreham

On Thursday 7th June at 8pm at Shoreham Community Centre – Future Adur School’s Team (FAST) will host a public meeting prepared by parents for parents. This event is suitable for anyone starting to think of secondary school (especially Years 4 & 5 parents).
A number of key invites have gone out to those stakeholders that can influence the Secondary School place provision: Tim Loughton (local MP), WSCC education exec and Cabinet members, Shoreham South County Councillor representative, Kevin Borham and local secondary Headteachers from Shoreham Academy and Sir Robert Woodard Academy, Lancing, and Portslade Aldridge Community Academy.
Please join to hear about the issues around increasing demand on our secondary schools, what your options are and how we can we can best work together with stakeholders to find the best solutions to meet the demand.
We are a group of parents run by parents, engaging over 400 parents in Adur with the goal of ensuring safe and appropriate local school places provision and better long-term planning.
